We were just a young couple who met in back 1995. Chase had just turned 14 that day, and a mutual friend thought he should meet Stefanie since they had a lot in common. Once we met, we were inseparable. 5 years later we got married and began our life. After both working since we were 12 years old, we knew we wanted more than just a job. Chase's uncle had a pool table service company that he helped him with on the side during his teen years. Once we had decided we were done working "regular jobs", we realized we had to figure out what to do. Having our regular jobs allowed us to pay the bills, but not much more. We figured out a way to make a few bucks on the side and saved our money to start our own business. We reached out to Chase's uncle and told him we wanted to do the pool table service work he was doing and that he could schedule the jobs and take a cut off all the work we performed. He said no... Chase told him "If you don't let us work for you, we're going to start our own billiard business." He said "I don't give an F what you do" and so we began. We made up a name that looked cool, and had a friend make us up some matching shirts. Chase & Stefanie put on those shirts and walked into AAA Pool Tables in Woodinville and asked to speak to the owner. Of course the owner was not available to talk to us kids, but the store sales person took a few minutes to talk to us and said "maybe in the future" he would give us a chance. We took out an add in the local Hometown Values magazine to get our name out there. We got a job! New cloth on a pool table! Woohoo, we did it! Now we had to figure out how to do it... Although Chase had helped his uncle work on pool tables, he was really just helping with the heavy lifting and we soon realized we had to learn how to do everything ourselves - before the internet! The recovery job ended up needing new rubber on the rails (cushions) and since the rubber was inexpensive, we bid the job reeeeeeeeeally low. Hey - it was our first job and we didn't know what we were doing! We soon found out replacing cushion rubber wasn't as easy as we thought, but we were determined and made it happen.
